Hello everyone,

As you know, announcements and events are happening at an impressive pace.

Whether it is the closure of the borders with the United States, losses in the stock market, the fall of the Canadian dollar or major investments by the Canadian and American governments to stimulate the economy, we are here to remind you that during these unsettling circumstances, PEAK is committed to provide you its service with the same level of efficiency.

Our employees have relocated to their homes, they are pursuing their daily activities as well as can be expected under the current circumstances, and we are very pleased with the results.

We have even started a cross-departmental team, where time and resources are allocated to the busiest areas. This form of mutual help exemplifies the team spirit that is very much appreciated in times like these.

Communication is key when managing a crisis. Hence, we will keep updating you on an ongoing basis.

In fact, our reports indicate that a very high percentage of advisors open the newsletter we send every day. This is excellent news as it constitutes an effective communication tool to ensure we are all on the same page.

In an effort to supply additional tools for you to reach out, we launched yesterday the “PEAK Advisor Forum” pilot project, that Robert referred to in the past. We hope to offer it to all advisors in the coming week.

In addition, we are working on a short survey for advisors, in order to know a little more about your reality and your issues.

RECONCILIATION OF ALL DEPOSITS IN OUR TRUST ACCOUNTS

We are in the process of reconciling all deposits in our trust accounts. If you have any documentation (backup) that has not yet been sent to [email protected] or [email protected], please do so as soon as you can.

We have a team in place that will be analyzing each case and are working very hard to get up to date to ensure that all outstanding deposits are cleared as soon as possible.

They will be reaching out to some advisors for certain documentation if required.

CANADA’S COVID-19 ECONOMIC RESPONSE PLAN

The Government of Canada announced its response plan for COVID-19 today. The plan includes, among other things, flexibility measures regarding the 2019 income tax returns.
